Discovery World Day Nursery Ltd is fully registered to accept all forms of UK government childcare support. Below are the primary ways parents save:
Available for all UK 3 and 4-year-olds, and eligible 2-year-olds (15 hours per week term-time, or stretched at ~11 hours across 51 open weeks).
Available for working parents from 9 months - 4 years old (30 hours per week term-time, or stretched at ~22 hours across 51 open weeks).
For every £8 you pay in, the government adds £2 (up to £2,000 per child per year, or £4,000 for children with disabilities).
Applications must be submitted before the term starts. You can check your eligibility and submit your application through the GOV.UK Childcare Choices platform. Once approved, you will receive an 11-digit code to present to your chosen, Ofsted-approved childcare provider. Note that the funded hours cover education, but providers may still charge voluntary fees for consumables (like meals, wipes, or trips). • This charge applies only to funded children aged 2 years and above. For babies under 2, all meals and consumables are already included within the standard nursery fees, with no additional charges.

Government funding only covers the cost of the provision of childcare and the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The funding does not include any of the other services that our nurseries provide, which include:
We operate an all‑inclusive service designed to make nursery life simple, transparent, and stress‑free for families. Everything your child needs throughout the day is provided within our fees — including nutritious meals, consumables and a rich programme of extracurricular activities that support learning and development.
For families accessing government-funded hours, these items are covered through our Consumables Charge, which ensures your child continues to receive the same high standard of care, resources, and experiences that are not included within the funded entitlement. We do not provide formula milk parents will have to provide due to their own preferences.
